TRANSPORTATION
Manage your transportation; trust us it will help you out.
Ride share:
More people in 1 car is better than 1 person in their own car for the environment.

Carpooling has been around for a while, but now with the help of the internet it has gained massive popularity and has become an effective way to cut down on your carbon footprint. Carpooling has allowed the city of Toronto to cut back on the number of cars on the roads at any given time. Fewer cars on the road means less pollution in the city.

Public transit:
Multiple people in one transport going the same way cuts down on a lot of pollution.
The city of Toronto prides itself on the fact that The Transit Score ranked it as number 3 of 70 US and Canadian cities and number 1 in Canada. The transit score is calculated based on how well a transit system is equipped to accommodate its residents throughout the city. Toronto’s transit system services more than 1.5 million customers, which results in nearly 1 million fewer trips by car. With its easy access and growing expansion, the city of Toronto is not only well connected throughout the city, but also with the cities surrounding it.

Take advantage of the city it self:
Toronto has a lot of bike line and walking paths making the city more accessible.
Toronto has invested a lot in bikes lanes and walking paths in and around the city, in an effort to get more people riding bikes and walking. These bike lanes are accessible to anyone who wishes to use them for their intended purpose. In addition, the “PATH” system allows pedestrians to walk wherever they desire in the city using its underground network. As the city of Toronto suggests, walk or cycle if you're going somewhere less than 5km away. Try to reduce the usage of cars in the city.

Slowly phasing out gasoline cars:
Electric cars are better but don’t get rid of what you have just yet. Use it to its fullest first.
Since most of Toronto’s electricity comes from fairly clean energy, electric cars are an efficient manner of transportation within the city of Toronto. However, phasing out gasoline powered cars is a slow process, because it makes no sense to scrap a perfectly good car and replace it with a brand new one. In the long run, continuing the use of a gas car that you currently own until it can’t run and transitioning to an electric car is a more environmentally sustainable thing to do.
