Locally grown, knowing what is good and what is not:

Just because we can grow it close by does not mean it is good for the environment.

The province of Ontario has been growing food within the province to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases when transporting these foods from other places in the world. Unfortunately, not all foods can be grown in Ontario, which sometimes leads companies to create large greenhouses with controlled climates to grow them. This inevitably does more harm to the environment, by producing waste and more greenhouse gases, hence why it is important to understand how and where food that you buy is grown before purchasing.
